This is my own personal blog on which I like to share my experience.  I will focus primarily on virtualization (VMware) and storage but my interest are not limited to these subjects so expect to find information about other subjects as well.

I’m Dennis van der Aalst, a 32 year old father of a 6 years old son and a 4 years old daughter. I’m married and I live in Deventer, a beautiful city in The Netherlands. I started working in IT right after my education. After working for over 8 years for KPN Consulting (and predecessors) I joined BCONN ICT in November 2015. My job title is technical specialist infrastructure/virtualization and as such I work at different customer sites.

I recently passed the VMware Certified Advanced Professional 6 – Data Center Virtualization Deployment exam and currently I’m planning my next educational steps. In my spare time I love to spend time with my kids, I enjoy running and watching TV shows with my wife.
